Camp Nushka
Camp Nushka is located on 26 acres of beautiful forest on Cass Lake in the middle of the Chippewa National Forest. The camp is located next to 300+ acres of forest land that can be used for pioneering, orienteering, GPS’ing, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and more. The lake can be used for canoeing, fishing, and water activities. The lake is part of the Mississippi chain and outpost forest service campsites can be reached both upstream and downstream. Star Island has campsites and hiking trials across from the camp just 1.5 miles away.
Use the Council’s Canoeing Rental Program in conjunction with this camp.
The biking trails that cover most of central part of the state are located just a few miles away from camp.
Camp Nushka is located just 5.5 miles east of Cass Lake and 4.2 miles north on Cass County Hwy 10. Watch the left hand side of the road for West Cass Bluff Loop Road adn the Sign for Camp Nushka. Camp Nushka is available year around.
Amenities
- Site B can accomodate over 50 people.
- Site A can accomodate over 25 people.
- Each site has a dining shelter
- Water is on site between sites A & B
- Pit Toilets also on site between sites A & B.
- Each site has their own steps down to the lake.
Rental Rates
Exclusive Use of Site A or B $25/night.
Exclusive Use of Entire Camp $50/might.
Additional Information
- Check out time is Noon
- Rental fees are required to pick up keys.
- Leave your area cleaner than you found it.
- All fees subject to periodic change.
- Equipment lost or damaged will be the responsibility of the campers.
- Campers must abide by Voyageurs Area Council rules and guidelines and provide their own accident insurance.
